James E. Nave, DVM, Founder of Tropicana Animal Hospital

Dr. Nave, a native of Missouri, has lived in Las Vegas since serving in the Army in Vietnam. He first came to Las Vegas in 1971 and, after working at two veterinary hospitals, opened Tropicana Animal Hospital in January 1974. As an advocate for quality veterinary medicine, Dr. Nave has been active in organized veterinary medicine, holding numerous local, state, and national positions in our profession. As a community leader, he extended his involvement to our community and state. He is past president of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and was a member of the Nevada Athletic Commission for 12 years.

Randall Ezell, DVM

Dr. Ezell is a native of Missouri and a 1982 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. He and his wife, Janis, have lived in Las Vegas since 1982. He has two children, Michael and Jennifer. He has three dogs named Lucy, Duncan, and Jackson and four cats, Bambi, Rudy, Tush, and Bo.

Blake Tunnard, DVM

Dr. Tunnard is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and received his education from Louisiana State University. An avid soccer player, Dr.Tunnard also has two cats named Sparky and Emma, and a dog named Jordan.

Travis McDermott, DVM

Hailing from Texas, Dr. McDermott studied veterinary medicine at Texas A&M. He has two dogs named Cooper and Timon, and he enjoys outdoor activities.

Reid Forman, DVM

Originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Dr. Forman has lived in Las Vegas for 13 years. He likes all sports and has two dogs. He studied veterinary medicine at Western University.

Chris Pittman, DVM

Dr. Pittman studied at Colorado State University. He is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and enjoys playing sports and being outdoors.

Jennifer Fenner, DVM

Dr. Fenner is originally from Florida. She studied medicine at Louisiana State University. Dr. Fenner has a full house with two cats, one dog, a lizard and a snake. In her spare time she enjoys playing video games.

Renee Lewis, DVM

Dr. Lewis is from New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University. Dr. Lewis enjoys being outdoors. She also has a calico kitty and a Chihuahua terrier mix.

Allison Roberson, DVM

Dr. Roberson enjoys reading and painting. She is from Stone Mountain, Georgia and graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. She also has a mixed breed dog named Lucy.
